OpenSea confirms support for Solana NFTs
In a new teaser trailer uploaded on March 29th, the marketplace put the rising speculations to rest by officially announcing its support for Solana NFTs. Starting from April 2022, NFT enthusiasts and investors will be able to trade Solana NFTs from one of the biggest NFT marketplaces in the world.
The trailer did not reveal any specific details other than the fact that the Solana NFTs will be available on OpenSea starting from April 2022. Solana will be the fourth blockchain that has received support from OpenSea apart from Ethereum, Polygon, and Klaytn.
Speculations concerning OpenSea adding support for Solana NFTs went ablaze back in January 2022, when a renowned hacker Jane Manchun Wong first spotted unreleased Solana tech integrations while performing a procedure called reverse engineering on OpenSea’s website.
Up until now, Solana NFTs could only be traded via SolSea and Magic Eden NFT platforms. OpenSea’s support for Solana could also help the network gain credible momentum and acquire more traction in the long run.
